Designed by IMG, Hilltop Valley Golf Club is a beautiful 27-hole golf course set against a backdrop of spectacular mountains. Situated 60 kilometers west of Hanoi, it takes around two hours to drive to the course from Hanoi city center. The first 18-holes opened for play in 2019. Being in a mountainous location, the course is designed around severe changes in elevation and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. The front nine play through valleys with only minor bunkering. By contrast, the back nine play along the ridgeline of the mountains. Notable holes include the 13th and 14th. The former is a 200-yard par-3 over a ravine to a green surrounded by water. Accuracy is paramount to avoid losing your ball. The 14th is equally challenging with a blind tee shot to the fairway. The most magnificent views are saved for holes 19-27; make sure you have your camera at the ready. Be sure to make use of the excellent course caddies to avoid simply hitting and hoping and losing multiple balls. The modern clubhouse is well laid out and offers beautiful views of the 18th green. Other facilities include luxurious locker rooms, a local restaurant, and a basic pro-shop. In addition to the golf club, there are also plans to build an entertainment and commercial center complete with hotel and villa accommodation.
