Club Opera (59 Ly Thai To Street, Hanoi; 84-4-824-6950) is housed in a grand villa across the street from the Metropole. Decorated with bright paint and silks, this elegant restaurant serves well-prepared Thai and Vietnamese dishes, focusing on seafood. Dinner for two with wine, $70. At the golf courses we visited, the food was typical counter fare of both the United States and Vietnam. Burgers and Vietnamese staples like pho could be had for about $5.
